ex. can you hear me now?

ex. i heard you singing.

to listen carefully ; to give your attention to 仔细听

ex. hear me out.

= please listen to me.

= please listen carefully to my idea.

= please listen carefully to what i’m going to say.

to receive communication 接收讯息

ex. have you heard from him lately?

用于法律上，指听听法律讨论

ex. the court wouldn’t hear our case.

法庭不会审理我们的案件。

ex. the judge is hearing the case tomorrow.

法官明天将审理此案。
